Biodiversity around the PERRIER^®source

Protection of the territory’s fauna and flora

The natural ecosystem around the PERRIER^® source is home to remarkable biodiversity, with nearly 1000 plant species and more than 500 species of mammals, birds and insects monitored by our biodiversity experts. To contribute to the preservation of this local biodiversity, in 2023 we launched a major program in collaboration with a local association, the Ornithological Center of Gard (COGard), to install more than 500 bird and bat shelters around the source. This was done to promote their development in the area and support the functioning and balance of ecosystems through natural agricultural pest control.​

Agroecology: Farming practices that work with nature to support healthy soils, water resources and biodiversity.​

​Since many years, PERRIER^® has supported and promoted organic farming in its "impluvium", the surrounding lands that form the watershed. Today, 500 hectares of farmland around the PERRIER^® source are certified organic.

Biomonitoring : The use of living organisms, such as bees, to help observe and understand the health of the surrounding environment.​
