OUR AGRIVAIR GARRIGUE PROGRAM​

Launched in July 2025, this program​ me helps drive actions on water resources and biodiversity preservation around the PERRIER^® spring in the Gard region, where the brand has been established for over 160 years. ​ ​

Backed by a €25 million investment over five years, Agrivair Garrigue is based on a collaborative approach involving local stakeholders (local authorities, public and private partners, the farming community and non-profit organisations). ​ ​

This programme builds on the actions carried out for many years by Nestlé Waters & Premium Beverages and its partners, including: ​ 

• The deployment of agroecological measures: more than 10,000 trees and shrubs planted since 2020, and more than 500 bird nesting boxes and bat shelters installed and monitored with the Centre Ornithologique du Gard since 2023. ​ ​

• The protection of natural areas: 112 hectares of garrigue and traditional agroecosystems — including meadows, grasslands, olive groves and orchards — protected through the first forestry-related Obligation Réelle Environnementale with the Conservatoire d’Espaces Naturels d’Occitanie, signed in 2021*. ​ ​

• The implementation of environmental awareness initiatives: installation of a first environmental educational trail in Vestric in 2025.^{* ​} ​ ​

​ ^* This contract, signed in 2021, commits the parties for a period of 10 years to preserving 112 hectares of forests, garrigue and traditional agroecosystems through biodiversity contribution obligations, such as the ban on phytosanitary products in forest and garrigue areas. ​
