A real animation gem, the film required a lot of post-production work. That’s why Ken Ralston was chosen as director. A special effects wizard and long-time George Lucas collaborator, Ralston won Oscars for best visual effects for Return of the Jedi, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Forrest Gump.
The filming was done at Lucas’s California ranch.
