Perrier and Roland Garros

Perrier signed its first partnership agreeMent in 1978, yet the first association with tennis can be traced back to 1928, when the stadium first opened. An ad published in the weekly "L'Illustration" showed a drawing of a tennis player and the following message:"Perrier, quenching the athlete's thirst". A premonition?

In 1978, tournament organizers asked for proposals from many beverage suppliers, including Perrier. Several major international brands were eager to be associated with the tournament's growing success. After months of intense negotiations, loyalty won the day. The bubbly little green bottle was once again victorious.

The partnership betweenPerrier and Roland Garros- and more generally Perrier and tennis - became a reality with the signing of an agreeMent between the French Tennis Federation and Perrier. Perrier was soon the "official bubble of tennis".
